Smart Shopping

Shopping is something that I and my wife love to do every day. You might be thinking that I am joking, but trust me I am not. If you would be working from home you would also do the same, since this is the only way we can find a reason to get out of our four walls. One day when we could not find any grocery and since we had to buy something before we came home we bought a beautiful art work by Paul Horton, which we would have otherwise bought online. Thankfully right below the flat we live is a huge shopping complex, the only problem however is that there is no Superstore or Hyper store in it, the only exception being Tesco Express, which is not really big enough.
The benefits of shopping nearly every day are the opportunity to understand the prices in different places. One thing we have understood is that not everything would be cheaper than everywhere else at one shop, which means that we have to find the place where the things that we want to buy are cheap.
We have two hyper stores in walkable distance, one is Sainsbury’s and the other is Tesco. ASDA is also not very far, but not close enough to walk to. What we basically do is that we kind of save the prices of things that we need in our mind in each and every store we go. My wife, who is a financial analyst, is very good with memorizing, so it’s a huge benefit for me. And once we know which shop is cheaper for which thing, we buy those things from those shops. One fact that needs to be understood here is that, in most cases there is no one else who can give you stuff cheaper than a hyper store, and if you still want to get it cheaper, then compare the prices within hyper stores to get the most economical option.
